Today as i was reading the newspaper, i found this interesting article which entitled " Allow women to age" from the Star Sunday paper.. The writer expresses her view on beauty and how the public sees that word as only the superficial part of a human being.. i think i would agree with the writer on this matter.
To begin with, the concept of beauty is taught foremost by families. what they tell us will make a big difference on how we perceive it and the way we think. i think i was lucky enough to be brought up by learning good values and that you are beautiful because of your warm and happy personalities toward others. And we should be swayed by the words coming out from the hypnotizer that is TV. they choose to potray people who have flawless skin and seem to remain ageless even as they age. This will brainwash our younger generation to think of beauty is by having a very white skin and free from wrinkles. Wrinkles tells us of the experiences that person has gone through, whether be it good times or some hardships.
I think its time that we look at age as a thing of beauty rather than a nuisance. Lets be proud that we aren't like those who are eyeing the Fountain of Youth to preserve their youthful self.
Glory to Aging!!! :D
Dont be fooled by its seductive appearance for it gives nothing but empty promises.. :P
